DWTS week two [performances]

Hi all week two is here! Get ready for some badass dance moves. And some comedy, and a little drama.

First up were Ingo and Kym. They danced the quick step. Wow they were so good! Much improvement from last week. And I also loved their outfits. Très cute! They scored 20 points.

Dancing next is poor Dorothy with her bad ankle. And she gets through it! (with mistakes but who wouldn’t with an injured ankle? She didn’t fall down! I think I would have.) The jive is a fast dance and I would have been afraid of messing up bad or even worse tripping over myself. How embarrassing that would have been. But Dorothy did great! She and Tristan received a 15. I felt so bad watching her talk about how she let Tristan down and disappointed everyone. Her voice was breaking and it was sad to watch. You can totally tell she is disappointed in herself and feels really bad about her performance. But on the brighter side, her dress was so pretty! Très cute! (French is awesome btw).

Jacoby and Karina dance jazz.  This dance was very fun to watch, or as Carrie Anne said “it was rocking!” Ha. Nice job! And also very cool outfits guys! They received a 23. Not bad.

Victor and Lindsay dance the jive. Loved their dance last week, hope they do well tonight. Love Lindsay’s dress again this week! Very pretty! (Carrie Anne’s dress? That’s a different story) “Do you have an extra pair of socks?” Hahaha oh Victor. I didn’t even get it until Len answered “you didn’t knock my socks off”. Then I LOL’d. And then I LOL’d more at myself for not getting it earlier. But anyways, I liked their dance and they ended up getting an 18.

Some of the criticism can be harsh and no matter who it is, they take it so well, with smiles and all. I think I would start tearing up and about to cry if the judges basically told me my performance sucked. I wouldn’t be able to hold it in and it would show on my face. And then they would probably feel bad they made me cry. But hey, what can you do? I can be emotional. But on the flipside, if I get a really good critique and the judges loved my performance and gave good scores, I would be screaming and jumping up and around with joy. Ha. Two complete extremes.

Wynonna and Tony dance the quick step. As police officers. On segways. Nice. It was actually pretty entertaining. My favorite part about Wynonna is her facial expressions. They are so awesome! They get 18 points for their performance.

Ready, set, Disney! Zendaya is dancing the jive with Val next and man she freaking killed it! I mean dead, buried and burned! That girl was on fireeeee! Great song choice and choreography Val! Very, very well done guys! And cute outfits. And happy birthday Val! They received raving reviews and a score of 26. I didn’t expect anything less.

Andy and Sharna dance jazz and I thought it was sort of weird. And a little scary. Only because of Andy’s facial expressions. I mean it was well danced and entertaining but scared me a little. Ha. But the judges loved it and gave them a score of 20 which was better than last week.

Next up… Sean and Peta! They dance the jive in their very precious yellow outfits. Sean looks so good in his lifeguard outfit. And I love the dress Peta is wearing. Yellow is my favorite color so I was very excited.
At the beginning of the night I tweeted this:
And then when I saw Catherine later on I tweeted this:

“Peta is a patient teacher but she’s not afraid to yell. She is constantly yelling at me during the dance, after the dance, she even yells at me before the dance.”
Hahaha loved this segment. She is putting Sean in line. Go girl! And Sean openly admits he didn’t shower for 2 days. All I have to say is… poor Catherine. You can see the disgust on Peta’s face as Sean told her that. It was way funny! These packages are always so much fun to watch, especially Sean’s. Their dance was badass I loved it so much!! Bruno called it more of a Lindy-hop and jitterbug than jive. And it sort of was, but I loved it and I hope the Lindy-hop is a dance that someone gets the opportunity to perform because it’s such a fun dance. I want to learn it and bust it out at the club. Ha! Kidding, I don’t go to clubs, but I do want to learn to dance the Lindy-hop, among many others. The judges give them a score of 20, which is an improvement from last week. Great job Sean and Peta! #TeamMurgalo all the way!!

Aly loses her partner and almost doesn’t go on! Just kidding. But she does temporarily lose Mark before going on. They dance the quick step and do an amazing job! Aly is so talented at everything she does! I love her blue dress and I love her tan skin! I wish I was tan. I need to start going tanning. Summer is approaching, I can’t go to the beach all pale. The judges give their performance a 24. Very nice.

“Lisa, please report to the cockpit”. You and Gleb are next to dance the jive. Another pink dress for Lisa! Love it though. Also love the song. Classic. They receive a score of 18.

DL’s rehearsal package was… umm… interesting to watch. Anger issues much? He and Cheryl dance the quick step. He starts out dancing on top of the judges’ table. That is way awesome! I bet that took a lot of guts to do. I wanted to see the judges’ reactions when he climbed up on the table. Suhprize yo! The judges give them a score of 16 for their performance; an improvement of 4 points from last week. “They used up all their 4’s so I knew I was good.” Ha. This is a new week, they still could have gave you 4’s but didn’t. Because you danced better, so you got 5’s and a 6 instead.

Saving the best for last—Kellie and Derek! Derek has always been my favorite dancer to watch, he always has the best choreography and is just fabulous in all ways. I see major chemistry between Kellie and Derek. They dance jazz and I don’t even have any words to describe my feelings toward their performance. It blew me away. This is my favorite dance performed. Ever. By anyone. I might have to watch and rewatch it a million times. It is that good. I mean, wow. Did that really just happen? Wonderful, wonderful job you guys! Fantastic, superb, outstanding, splendid, impressive and all the other synonyms of this kind. And I said I didn’t have any words to explain it. I guess I lied, I have tons. All their moves were dead on and in sync with each other. Seriously this dance should have been a perfect ten across the board. But a 27 is great too. “If you’re just tuning in we’re playing 'Find the Body Fat'.” Haha Tom. I wonder if he has a writer like Bruno.

The breakdown of the scores:
-In first place with 50 points is Zendaya with her partner Val. Big shocker there.
-In second place with 47 points is Kellie with her partner, and my favorite pro dancer, Derek.
-Third place goes to Aly and Mark. They have 45 points.
-In fourth place is Jacoby with his partner Karina. They have 43 points.
-In fifth place with 40 points is Ingo and Kym.
-In sixth place with 39 points is Sean and Peta. Doing good, just keep improving and climb to the top.
-In seventh place with 37 points is Andy with his partner Sharna.
-Four couples tie for eighth place all with 36 points: Dorothy & Tristan, Lisa & Gleb, Victor & Lindsay, and Wynonna & Tony.
-And finally in last place, with 27 points is D.L. with his partner Cheryl.

There you go. It was an awesome night of great performances. Everyone improved since last week. Great job! Tomorrow is the first elimination. It's nerve wracking. And next week is prom night!!

Until next time...
